Confirmed Service Customer
It was TERRIBLE. ��I arrived expecting the work to be done on my car and prepared to stay for several hours. ��I knew my brakes needed to be replaced and that my headlamp wasn't working and had already discussed this with the person making the appointment. ��When I arrived they told me they would get to diagnosing my car in 3-4 days and that I needed to leave it at the dealership because they were now liable for my car. This came as a big surprise and inconvenience. And you can imagine how grateful I was for the diagnosis fees when I had already told them what I needed to have repaired. ��I can't imagine they needed to do $200.00 dollars of work to check my brakes and hook a machine up to diagnose what was wrong with my headlamp....it was a bulb replacement, by the way, and it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out!!!! $200.00?!?!?!? I left very upset and unprepared for all of the expenses. ��I found another mechanic, one who has been working on my other cars for 20 years, who told me he could get my car in the next day and would assess all of my needs without charging me Diagnostic fees for everything. ��I immediately tried calling the dealership to no avail. ��Of course, your phones are always busy. ��Then I replied to the ��text I had received from the person who helped check me in to tell him that I would be in to get my car that afternoon, as soon as I finished work, and not to proceed with any work on the car. �� Mind you, this is less than 24 hours after I dropped my car off. My car was supposed to be sitting for the next 3-4 days to be diagnosed. ��Several hours later I received a call from GMC to tell me I could come and pick up my car but I needed to pay the diagnostic fee first. ��WHAT THE ______!!!!!! �� They told me they needed 3-4 days and then when I ask them not to do any work , less than 24 hours later, they call and tell me they have been able to do the diagnostic portion and I owe them $225.00. ��That appears very crooked and unfair to me. I feel as if I have been completely taken advantage of. It feels dishonesty and reflects very poorly on your dealership!!!! I will never recommend you in the future, nor will I ever be using your dealership to work on my GMC Yukon or my husbands GMC Sierra in the future. ��There are too many other dealerships and mechanics around town that can help me with my vehicles and I prefer to give my money to a company with integrity and where the customer, as a person, matters and not how much money you can get out of the transaction. �� VERY POORLY DONE Salt Lake Valley GMC!!!! I agreed that you can publish my response, but know you NEVER will!!!
